The Glasgow Care Van runs in partnership with Glasgow City Mission, visiting the areas of Parkhead and Royston to provide food and hot drinks for people in need. Brian’s story tells us how he got involved volunteering with the Care Van team.
“The Care Van has been a wee oasis for quite a lot of people… People come for fellowship, support if they’re struggling. I feel there should be one in every community.”
People struggle with a wide range of social and economic aspects. At Bethany, we believe every person deserves a good meal and a listening ear. Each week, the Care Van visits communities within Glasgow with a cup of tea and a friendly chat, bringing counsel and comfort for anyone who comes.
Bethany also operate similar Care Vans in Edinburgh and Perth.
