Bethany Christian Trust was pioneered in Leith, Edinburgh in 1983. Today, we support people across Scotland, working together in ending homelessness, one person at a time.
40 Years of Bethany Christian Trust video by Daysix
Since 1983, we have grown to provide services to support people facing homelessness and multiple associated needs across Scotland, all the while seeking to share Christ’s love in action in practical ways.
Bethany Christian Trust now includes over 30 main services spread across Scotland, from Dumfries to Stornoway, from Glasgow to Aberdeen. Our wide-ranging yet integrated approach combines these three streams of Homelessness Prevention, Crisis Intervention and Housing & Support. You can read more about our holistic, person-centred approach here.
“Everyone is capable of change. There is potential in you.”
Shona Howard, Community Resettlement Worker in Glasgow
We travelled to projects from Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, and Glasgow to see how Bethany is working in these communities, and what this work means to members of staff, volunteers, and individuals we support.
