For just one week, donors can double their impact through match funding with The Big Give initiative.
The initiative runs between 12pm on the 3rd December to 12pm on the 10th December.
Generous partnership from The Mackie Foundation, The Reed Foundation and an anonymous donor means that each donation towards our Buy a Bed appeal will be matched.
This means every £25 that you donate will be doubled, providing the Welcome Centre with even more support to help people access a warm bed, hot food and individualised support to move on into more permanent accommodation.
The Centre opened for the 2024-25 winter season on 2nd October, with demand on the service already at record heights against the backdrop of a housing emergency and the rising cost of living placing extra strain on households.
Bethany Christian Trust are working together with third sector partners, the local authority and the Scottish Government to find shared solutions.
During the first 50 nights, the Centre has already provided accommodation and support for 290 people who would otherwise be sleeping on the streets.
“I feel like no-one has ever cared if I live or die before I came here. Thank you for your support and care.”

Every £25 donation helps give someone facing a challenging and cold night on the streets access to a warm bed and hot meal. During the Big Give Christmas Challenge week, this gift has twice the impact, meaning each donation can support twice as many people facing homelessness.
