Our September Volunteer of the Month is Emma Quinn!
Originally from Montana, Emma currently volunteers at Bethany House in Edinburgh.
As manager, Laura McNamee says:
“Emma has been a ray of sunshine. She hit the road running by getting stuck into everything – cleaning, answering phones, cooking induction training, admin tasks, and having already started to build good relationships with some of the residents.
She came on the house holiday this month and was so much fun for everyone to be around.
She has a wealth of experience and expertise as a nurse that we know will be hugely beneficial to us at Bethany House.
We feel extremely blessed to have her.”
Bethany House provides Emergency Resettlement accommodation with support for men and women who are homeless. Residents at Bethany House are offered personalised support to live independently in preparation for gaining their own tenancy. This is achieved through one to one support, specialised addiction support when relevant, recreational activities and work and volunteering opportunities.
